Job Introduction:

To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Attain safety, quality and productivity goals
  • Troubleshoot plant facilities and production equipment problems
  • Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion
  • Obtain training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements
  • Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations
  • Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software
  • Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory
  • Attend training as required
  • Handle confidential information on a regular basis
  • Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
  • Promote and facilitate Open Door process and Fair Treatment
  • Participate in Continual Improvement activities
  • Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Education:


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a machine repair/electrician experience or minimum 4 years experience in a technical service/repair nontrainee/apprentice role
  • Associate's Degree or Certification in Machine Repair or Electrical preferred
  • Forklift License required

  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime to be available to three (3) shifts
  • Able to use computer and software as required
  • Able to work to blueprints and sketches
  • Must have good color vision to perform electronic and electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Able to lift 75 pounds
  • Able to work at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces

Work Environment:


  • The work environment is primarily manufacturing plant and is characterized by temperature extremes; loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic.
  • The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
  • Job responsibilities include heavy lifting (75 pounds), working at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces
  • Personal tools may be required
  • Overtime as required.
