NYS LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION
Monday - Friday
Bi-Lingual Spanish
The Inwood clinic serves individuals with serious mental illness, the majority of whom are Hispanic and reside in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Upper Manhattan.
The social worker will carry a caseload of patients with serious mental illness and will contribute to our mission of providing recovery oriented services through case management and supportive therapies.
The social will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working with psychiatrists, nurses, peer specialists, occupational therapists and a team of other social workers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidencebased practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support services for clients
- Maintain accurate and uptodate client records, including data collection and case notes
- Offer crisis intervention services as needed
- Advocate for clients to ensure access to necessary resources and services
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health issues
Experience:
- Experience with motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions
- Ability to collect and analyze data to inform treatment decisions
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques
- Skilled in case management and coordinating services for clients
- Experience in child and family counseling

Pay:
$54, $65,743.22 per year
