Youth For Tomorrow is a 501 (c) (3) and a faith based, non-profit organization, founded in 1986 by Hall of Fame Football Coach Joe Gibbs.

The organization is large, diverse, experienced and committed to serving at-risk youth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the shepherding and care of the YFT campusbased residents and staff; also, to include aftercare services as directed by the CEO or his designee.
  • Plan and lead weekly worship services, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching Biblical revelation, provide oversight of all areas of campus spiritual life, developing sermons, and planning with music leadership.
  • Leads the congregation in effective programs to fulfill the Great Commission with vision, purpose and priority, to include baptisms, and other ministry acts consistent with our Christian values.
  • Provide an overall vision and direction for campus spiritual life and the New Life Center Ministry in coordination with the CEO.
  • Develop a vision and strategy to reach and engage with the campus residents.
  • Develop, lead and oversee the building of teams of ministry volunteers who will carry out the campus ministry to impact the entire YFT campus and YFT community, in coordination with the CEO. All volunteer leaders are direct reports of the Campus Pastor but fall under leadership of the Executive Management Team.
  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Residential Services, or his designee, to enact, expand, and empower the Shepherding Team (comprised of ministry volunteers and RTC therapists).
  • Facilitates and conducts small groups for Biblical instruction and discipleship.
  • Visits and ministers to residents and staff through counsel and pastoral care.
  • Foster and bridgebuild relationships with Residential Leadership and each House Coordinator and Residential Counselor recognizing their oversight and responsibilities in their respective homes.
  • Strive to build a caring and supportive relationship with the child's parents and/or legal guardians. Seek their support if their child desires Baptism. Encourage and guide the children to honor and respect their parents.
  • Maintains a vital and wholesome personal relationship with the Lord through daily Bible study and prayer.
  • Serves as advisor to CEO/YFT Executive Management Team on campus spiritual/religious matters.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO as it relates to campus spiritual/religious affairs.
  • Able to work full time.
  • Professes faith in Jesus Christ and exemplifies this faith in moral living, as outlined in the bible (1 Timothy 3:27 & Titus 1:69).
  • Degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Counseling, Biblical studies, counseling or related field from an accredited college or university preferred with at least one year of documented experience working with children or adolescents.
  • Able to teach the Word in an effective and relevant manner; possess the ability to spiritually inspire others
  • Any applicant for the position shall submit the following to demonstrate compliance with the qualifications required by this regulations: (1) Official transcripts from the accredited college or university of attendance; and documentation of prior relevant experience.


Must clear all background checks, complete all employment pre-requisite trainings, and possess a valid driver's license and current negative TB screening prior to hire.
