    ABOUT CAMILLUS:

    For more than 62 years, Camillus House has provided a variety of programs to address the needs of individuals who are mentally ill and suffer from substance abuse disorders, with the end goal of helping them achieve housing stability.

    One of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit providers of housing and services for the homeless in Miami, Camillus offers those served compassionate and professional care through our DCF-licensed and CARF-Accredited behavioral health programs and specialized outreach teams, and our staff a rewarding career that makes a difference.

    THE POSITION:

    We are looking for compassionate professionals to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment providing one-on-one SOAR case management services to clients in various programs offered at Camillus House.

    SOAR Case Management positions are available in our Specialized Street Outreach, Emergency Housing, and Behavioral Health (treatment) Housing Programs.

    Camillus House SOAR Case Managers must be energetic self-starters, passionate about engaging and helping homeless individuals, have excellent communication skills, be attentive to detail and be relentless in driving outcomes.



    QUALIFICATIONS:


    The successful candidate will:

    • Be able to understand and practice the mission of Camillus House.
    • Have a bachelor's degree in Mental Health/Social Work or a related field preferred; any appropriate combination of education, experience and/or certification will be considered.
    Completion/certification


    of training in the SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) model or experience in lieu of certification will be considered.


    Be comfortable working directly with highly vulnerable populations to complete thorough needs assessments, work with their assigned clients to develop service plans and goals to address their unique needs and coordinate with inside and outside partners to secure services for the client (e.g. benefits, transportation, training, training, etc.), with the goal of addressing issues and barriers so that they may secure and/or maintain housing stability.


    Be proficient in oral/written English and have the ability to document client progress and activity


    Have competency in MS Office/Outlook and other data entry programs


    Be able to successfully complete Level II background screening and toxicology test, have a Valid FL Driver License with clean driving record, and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

    ADDITIONAL PREFERRED

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    While not required, it would be great if the successful candidate also:


    Has prior experience providing case management to vulnerable populations and the homeless in particular.


    Is familiar with the homeless system of care (e.g. coordinated entry, housing first, HMIS)


    Is familiar with other services available to assist homeless persons, (Social Security, DCF, Medicaid, etc.)


    Is familiar with evidence-based models in a social work setting.


    Prior experience and understanding of causes of homelessness


    Familiarity with Social Security Administration's Listings of impairments


    Experience with providing outreach and successful engagement to a diverse population, includes working with clients, developing trust, and conducting interviews in non-traditional settings and unstructured environments


    Knowledge of Housing First


    Is Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)
