- Experience working at Letterkenny Army Depot highly desired.
- Must have general computer knowledge. Working knowledge of internet software; spreadsheet software, word processing software and MS Office Suite is a plus.

- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, move, manipulate or feel objects; talk and/or hear and taste and/or smell.
- Routinely required to work at varying heights (work from ladders and/or mobile platforms). Occasional use of a fall protection harness will be required.
- Some mechanic positions require the use of respiratory equipment (half mask/hood/helmet).
- Frequently required to stand and/or walk and routinely required to reach with hands and arms.
- Routinely required to stand, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or squat.
- Frequently lifts and /or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 40 pounds.
- Often exerts similar effort in pushing, pulling and positioning parts assemblies and equipment.
- Frequently lifts and moves heavier items with the assistance of other workers or with lifting devices such as jacks hoists and cranes.

Bowhead Logistics Management, LLC seeks Heavy Equipment Mechanics for the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA location.
Responsibilities:The Heavy Equipment Mechanic analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools. This worker operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges, replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency. The mechanic welds broken parts and structural members, may direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment, and may repair, adjust and maintain mining machinery, such as stripping and loading shovels, drilling and cutting machines, and continuous mining machines.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, however candidates with an active Secret are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. Securing and maintaining a Common Access card (CAC) is a requirement for all positions at this location.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
5W400 / Bldg 350 / 1st shift
