    **Job Description:**

    Buyers are the business owner of their vendor or category grouping. They will strategically source products and brands, onboard new items, maintain precise inventory levels, forecast demand, and negotiate vendor contracts. Buyers must have an entrepreneurial mind, a keen understanding of industry trends, and ability to coordinate projects across multiple departments. We are looking for self-starting, confident, intelligent, detail-oriented individuals who want to make an impact in a busy and growing company. This position is full-time and located in Lancaster, PA, but is remote-friendly/hybrid-friendly for those within a 2-hour driving radius.

    Buyers serve Clarks procurement division, which buys products for our various distribution channels (industry leading Ecommerce platform , The Restaurant Stores, Clark National Accounts, Clark Food Service Equipment, and 11400, Inc.). In 2021, we did $2.5B in sales from a catalog of 400K+ SKUs.

    **Job Responsibilities**

    Research and launch new items

    Strategically define and execute projects to drive revenue and gross profit

    Negotiate vendor contracts and order discounts

    Analyze market data to set pricing strategies

    Formulate and implement stocking strategies

    Generate creative ideas for process improvement

    Mine data using Microsoft Power BI and our proprietary inventory management system

    **Skills & Requirements**

    Generate high quality decisions and take calculated risks based on detailed data analysis

    Ability to operate decisively in an ambiguous and highly volatile environment

    Exhibit entrepreneurial spirit as the business owner of your category

    Negotiate with confidence

    Ability to set and achieve goals to increase sales and gross profit

    Communicate clearly and effectively

    Strong computer skills with emphasis in Excel

    We consider applicants with diverse majors and work history; however, applicants frequently have education in Business Management, Supply Chain, Business Logistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant positions include Buyer, Procurement Manager, Sourcing Operations Analyst, Technical Buyer, Pricing Analyst, and Supply Chain Manager.
