Category Buyer (Indirect)
We are looking for **Category Buyers (Indirect)** to join our rapidly growing team. This role will be split between our new offices in Reading (2-3 days per week) and remote working.

Our electric powertrain also eliminates harmful tailpipe emissions, removing harmful pollutants that contribute to climate change. **What you will do:**
The indirect purchasing function is growing and there are opportunities across all categories including **I.T & professional services and Logistics, packaging, and engineering services.** As Category Buyer you will be required to build effective and sustainable relationships with suppliers and assist with the implementation of the Volta procurement strategy and vision.
Understand the market to research and identify potential suppliers
Work with suppliers to ensure optimum cost and product solutions
You will be involved with sourcing activity i.e., RFQs
Assist in developing robust service level agreements
Strategic sourcing activities for specified commodities
**We would like you to have:**
Previous experience of indirect purchasing ***I.T, professional services, engineering services, logistics or packaging***
Experienced within negotiation, strategic sourcing and contract management
Experience within automotive manufacturing is desirable but not essential
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Can work proactively with minimal guidance and be self-motivated to travel and potentially work remotely
