The Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is currently seeking a permanent (part-time possible) System Administrator (m/f/d) for the Institute of Computer Science, starting as soon as possible.

What will be your main responsibilities?

Support for Linux, Mac-OS, and Windowsbased workstations
Installation and maintenance of software packages
Point of contact for employees of the working groups for ITrelated questions
Maintenance of the working groups' web presence using the HHU's content management system
Representation of other system administrators at the institute
Installation, administration, and maintenance of Linuxbased servers, as well as integration of workstations into the Linux server structure

What are we looking for? - Your qualifications:

Completed training as an IT specialist or a relevant university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) or a comparable qualification
Extensive experience in the administration of Linuxbased servers and networks
Knowledge of Docker and Git
Excellent understanding of security concepts
Knowledge of the English language is advantageous
Selfmotivation, especially in keeping up with current technological trends
