The Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking a Roadway Programs Technician 2 to join our team in Northumberland County We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to play a key role in the analysis and development of maintenance operations.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


In the role of a Roadway Programs Technician 2, your main responsibility will be to conduct technical analysis and provide independent evaluation of the maintenance work programs at the Department of Transportation Northumberland Maintenance Office.

This will involve various tasks such as reviewing requisitions, preparing bid documents, evaluating and awarding bids, creating contracts and purchase orders, and utilizing a department purchasing card within Northumberland County.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects, including policies, procedures, goals, and objectives, are met by analyzing data related to maintenance activities, programs, and costs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • Hours of work are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch.

Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed Internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Sunbury.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1;
    or:
  • One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program;
    or:
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
