Job Purpose:

Supervisor of the associates in the Landscaping and Maintenance department to assist in achieving high guest satisfaction scores for the property.

Performs routine landscaping and is involved in the upkeep of the grounds and resort. Required to do semi-skilled grounds work.

Operate small, hand-held power equipment; perform work with larger equipment such as tractors and medium sized ride-on turf mowing equipment.

To repair and maintain the physical structure of the property to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Maintains assigned area of the facility. This area may be changed at the discretion of the supervisor.
Operates mowers and trimming equipment for greens, tees, aprons, around trees, posts, and rocks.
Rakes and maintains flower beds.
Prepares the grounds daily as necessary. Includes picking up all visible trash from the front entrance and around the entire property/grounds.
Ensures all grounds accessories are neat and positioned correctly.
Maintains proper fluid level in each piece of equipment used on a daily basis; reports all improperly functioning equipment to a supervisor or the equipment technician.
Returns all equipment to the properly designated areas after is has been properly cleaned.
Cleans in and around the grounds daily.
Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
Learn emergency procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

Knowledge of the methods and materials used in maintaining grounds and landscaped environments.
Working knowledge of and safely use hand and power tools and specialized turf mowing equipment.
Knowledge in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Painting, Pool and Drywall.
