Responsibilities:


The School of Cinematic Arts at DePaul University invites applicants for a full-time Professional Lecturer position in Lighting for Cinematography.

The responsibilities of this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in lighting and cinematography for film and television, serving on school and college level committees, and supervising student projects.

Continued professional development in the field is also expected.

Required Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field and/or 10 (or more) years working as a professional lighting technician in film and television
  • Exemplary communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to demonstrate cultural competencies in diverse learning communities
  • A working knowledge of current lighting equipment, safety protocols and industry trends
  • Experience programming lighting consoles, implementing crmx wireless controls and creating lighting networks
