    Job Description

    Buyer

    The Buyer holds a key role in the Supply Chain management, ensuring that the Company acquires products and services at the most competitive prices, highest quality, and timely delivery. Responsibilities include source selection, procurement, inventory management, and maintaining relationships with suppliers. The Buyer also plays a crucial role in achieving customer service targets and managing supply and demand within the Global Supply Chain.

    Buyer Responsibilities

    • Negotiating transactions with vendors
    • Sourcing and qualifying new suppliers
    • Supporting inter-company transactions
    • Placing purchase orders accurately and timely
    • Collaborating with internal teams on material requirements
    • Maintaining records and documentation
    • Driving supplier performance
    • Ensuring on-time delivery of finished goods
    • Reviewing part requirements and material lead times
    • Communicating effectively with stakeholders
    • Assessing supplier capabilities and quality standards
    • Coordinating with various departments for timely responses to customers
    • Maintaining supplier data files
    • Supporting internal transactions and processes
    • Identifying and addressing inventory challenges
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field is preferred. Relevant job experience can offset the degree requirement.

    Buyer Experience & Skills

    • Minimum of two years in purchasing and materials control
    • Strong math skills and proficiency in Excel
    • Experience in continuous improvement
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Analytical and planning abilities
    • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
    • Ability to manage priorities and multitask
    • Completion of background checks and screenings
