- Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Biomedical Technology preferred, with a minimum of six months of relevant experience. Equivalent training and experience may be considered.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Understanding of electronic theory, technology, and test equipment, as well as basic anatomy and physiology related to biomedical equipment.
- Ability to analyze, repair, and test electronic and electromechanical equipment, along with running diagnostic programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Capability to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and prolonged standing, with good visual acuity for detailed work.
- Willingness to work in environments where hazards may be present and to adjust your schedule as needed.
- Ability to work well with colleagues under varying conditions

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our clinical equipment.
You are a meticulous problem solver with a passion for maintaining essential clinical equipment in healthcare settings.This is a fully benefitted full time position (Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week)What You'll Do:
Repair and Maintenance:
Under supervision, you'll repair, calibrate, and maintain various clinical equipment used in healthcare delivery.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine checks and electrical safety tests to ensure equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
Diagnose and Correct Malfunctions:
Use your troubleshooting skills to identify and fix equipment malfunctions promptly.
Documentation:
Keep accurate records of equipment repairs, installations, and failures to maintain compliance standards.
Technical Assistance:
Provide guidance and training to medical and nursing staff on equipment usage and maintenance.
Collaboration:
Build positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and medical staff, participating in meetings and educational sessions as needed.
