Description
An exciting opening is available immediately for a Quality Technician proficient in SQF, HACCP, and Food Safety programs.

In this role, you will evaluate our products to guarantee they meet our standards of quality, support SQF and Food Safety initiatives, and act as a substitute for the Quality Lead when necessary.


DUTIES

  • Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
  • Be prepared for emergencies, knowing the actions to take in case of power loss, equipment malfunctions, or workplace accidents.
  • Use required safety gear and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Be familiar with and can execute Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Promptly report safety concerns and incidents to the supervisor.
  • Notify management of product issues or defects.
  • Prepare and provide samples that exemplify acceptable or unacceptable products for production evaluations.
  • Engage with supervisors daily to discuss quality issues.
  • Execute quality audits for each shift and machine in line with established procedures.
  • Support reinspection processes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to enhance inspection processes.
  • Perform various audit actions across the plant, including but not limited to:
  • Approvals for changeovers and setups
  • Approval of first and last pieces
  • Process control evaluations
  • Audits for GMP/Food Safety
  • Implementing 5S practices where applicable
  • Contribute to SQF Procedures by helping with development, document reviews, and updates.
  • Participate in addressing customer complaints and internal audit findings related to SQF.
  • Support the analysis and resolution of CAPAs.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement and A3 projects.
  • Handle Sample Request processing as instructed.
  • Record data accurately in Excel or SPC software.
  • Conduct quality tests using lab measurement tools.
  • Oversee gauge calibration.
  • Lead or support a team in inspection methodologies or enhancements.
  • Operate independently for daily tasks and make qualityrelated decisions.
  • Uphold the Plant's Food Safety commitments by completing necessary training and adhering to required practices.
  • Support and comply with SQF standard practices and policies.
  • Lend a hand in various tasks as needed.
  • Uphold plant quality standards, including GMPs.
  • Serve as a substitute for the Quality Lead when required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated.

You should be proficient in:

  • Quality Inspection Experience
  • Quality Control Data Analysis

Salary info:

**$24 - $27 / hr
