Description
Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- (55%) Prepare invoices for entry into the Sage 100 ERP system. Print, code, match invoices and PO Receipts. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
- (15%) Prepare and perform check runs from approved list supplies by the AR Chargeback Analyst.
- (15%) Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
- (5%) Reconcile accounts payable transactions. Monitor accounts payable sub-ledger to ensure payments are up to date.
- (5%) Maintains vendor files of unpaid and paid invoices.
- (5%) Assist with month end closing. Provide supporting documentation for audits.

  • Additional duties/projects as required.

Education and Experience Profile

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience, prefer Associate degree in Accounting.
  • 23 years' experience working in Finance or Accounting.

Required Skills:


  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently and on a team

Work Environment:


  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax/scanner machines.
