Do you wish to play a critical role in providing transparency and insight into our business markets for Ramboll Americas? We are searching for a talented and engaging person to join our Business Finance team supporting the Environment & Health market.


Financial Project Coordinators are part of Business Finance and are responsible for ensuring that project financials provide an accurate and complete representation of project positions.

In this role you will work closely with Project Managers to provide financial management services.

You will operate as a trusted advisor to business executives by driving financial health and improved business results by providing data driven analysis and advice to PMs.

For this role, we believe your starting point is:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years' related experience in Project Accounting for Professional Services organizations
  • Proficient in using Cost Accounting Systems to run, monitor and bill projects
  • Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Critical thinking with attention to detail; strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Office 365 including strong Excel skills
  • Able to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with stakeholders

  • Ability to successfully lead meetings in a remote working environment where most stakeholders and team members are in different locations

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the projectlevel financial processes for a portfolio of projects including:
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Risk Monitoring
  • Monthly Invoicing
  • Working Capital Management
  • Project Monitoring & Maintenance
  • Project Creation & Closeout
  • Provide input into the enhancement of Ramboll controlling processes
  • Embrace change with agility and adaptability while supporting team members through changes in strategic direction as set by senior management
  • Execute contract financial processes with emphasis on quality and compliance (global and local statutory, tax, Internal Controls, and US GAAP & IFRS requirements)
  • Develop a strong working relationship with Business Controllers, PMs, and Senior Business Leadership
  • Work closely with Indiabased business support team to complete project maintenance and billing activities
  • This role is a Hybrid position and will be expected to be in the office 23 days per week.

Financial Statement completion, general ledger entries responsibilities not inherent in this position
