- Navigate the terrain between business, data management, and IT to understand current data structures and processes, focusing on adding value through meticulous documentation in a data catalog.
- Champion the crossfunctional collaboration and utilization of selfservice tools by business data stewards, owners, and consumers.
- Support the development of data quality framework assessments.
- Enhance and maintain data dictionaries and the data catalog, manage the setup of new data assets, and oversee their ongoing maintenance.
- Implement escalation procedures for data quality issues, collaborating with data stewards in a structured environment like JIRA.
- Produce tailored reporting on various data quality metrics, such as outstanding issues and resolution rates.
- Lead small group training sessions to bolster data literacy across the organization.
- Assist in managing key data stewardship routines including the Data Stewards Working Group, adhoc status updates, and offsite gatherings.
- 13 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Minimum of 1 year of handson experience with data governance applications.
- Knowledge of leading data quality, governance, and management processes and tools.
- Solid understanding of information management, data governance, data quality, data analysis, and metadata management.
- Familiarity with datarelated regulatory requirements and emerging trends.
- Proactive approach, focusing on providing value through thorough data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong relationshipbuilding skills, capable of working with diverse teams and managing multiple stakeholder perspectives.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a knack for presenting complex materials in an accessible manner.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, driving work with minimal supervision while balancing the interests of various stakeholders.
