- 3+ years experience in a network focused handson technical role working with IP routing protocols/technologies and platforms in large scale data center and/or WAN network environments
- 3+ years experience in a technical oncall capacity, responding to customer impacting events, mitigating and root cause analysis of those events
- 2+ years Unix/Linux command line experience
- Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos
- Experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming
- Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills; specifically, network performance analysis
- Strong Unix/Linux skills and ability to script in Perl, Python, shell, C or C++ is highly desirable as is a strong understanding of load balancing and layer 47 technologies
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps environments
- Knowledge of IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, COBIT) and Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies is a plus.
