    Merchology is in pursuit of a Director of Operations to lead multi-site operations The Director of Operations will provide leadership and support to ensure on time order execution and fulfillment while improving safety, quality, cost and delivery to meet shipped revenue and margin targets.

    Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Director will be responsible for multi-site receiving, inventory management, decoration, and fulfillment activities, assuring proper staffing to plans and budgets and decoration cost improvement through continuous improvement initiatives.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    A successful Director of Operations will:

    Direct daily operational execution and coordination with other departments as necessary to ensure good communication and alignment on key objectives such as production load, inventory control, quality, labor management, decoration cost, and on-time order fulfillment.

    Manage the order allocation process to properly balance load, cost, on-time delivery, and shipped revenue attainment across the Merchology sites.

    Assure proper staffing for requirements and budget, effectively utilizing seasonal staffing to scale capacity and maintain labor cost flexibility in cooperation with site leaders and people operations.

    Provide leadership through effective employee relations, including positive communications, coaching, training, and development for direct reports and those that they support.

    Lead site operations teams to attain annual Initiative goals while improving against key operational metrics to support company growth and profitability.

    Improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost by driving the implementation and sustainment of standard methodologies to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

    Communicate regularly and openly with VP Operations and other functional leaders as necessary to balance priorities, answer inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

    Oversee safety and compliance through company committee leadership, including RTK, and all other applicable regulatory compliance.
    Foster a culture of transparency and respect - exhibit Servant Leadership ideologies while coaching employees for success.

    Requirements


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school
    Strong leadership attributes with a minimum of 10 years proven senior Operations Leadership experience
    Experience with the application of Continuous Improvement methodologies
    Analytic, problem solving, and process creation skills
    Respect and embody Merchology's core values


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Experience with cloud-based ERP/systems
    Bilingual (Spanish)
    Continuous Improvement certification
