The district committee of Hochtaunuskreis is currently seeking a Hygiene Inspector (m/f/d) for the Department 60.50 Health Services, Veterinary Medicine and Consumer Protection in Miamiville, OH.


Responsibilities:

  • Investigation of notifiable and communicable diseases and, in consultation with the medical officer (m/f/d), initiation of intervention measures according to the Infection Protection Act (IfSG)
  • Infection control inspections of facilities subject to supervision according to the IfSG and the Hessian Law on Public Health Services (HGöGD) in cooperation with the medical officer
  • Monitoring activities according to the Drinking Water Ordinance
  • Monitoring of water extraction and supply facilities as well as swimming and bathing pools, including their water treatment systems, with water sampling
  • Examination of planning documents for construction projects with independent preparation of opinions in the field of building and settlement hygiene, if necessary with onsite inspections, and advice to builders, architects, authorities, facilities, etc.
  • Evaluation of measurement results, preparation of opinions and ordering of measures for hazard prevention
  • Recording of laboratory and measurement results and data entry into the specialist software , TEIS)
  • Monitoring of overthecounter medicines outside of pharmacies
  • Cooperation with other authorities
  • Public relations work

Requirements:

  • Completed threeyear training as a hygiene inspector (m/f/d), health supervisor (m/f/d) or specialist (m/f/d) for hygiene monitoring
