Sterile Processing Technician

Location:
Plymouth, MA

Duration: 13 Weeks
**Shift: Evening

  • 12p8:30p**
    Hourly Rate: 3442$/hr

Should reside more than 50 miles from the facility (NO local travelers will be accepted
).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • MUST BE NATIONALLY CERTIFIED.
  • COVID vaccine required + booster
  • Medical exemption acceptable too.
  • Flu vaccine required medical exemptions are acceptable too.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Primary responsibility is infection control. Maintain sterile technique. Perform all duties according to procedure.
  • Cleans, sterilizes, packages and assembles instrument sets. Assist in care and handling of equipment. i.e., suction, fracture frames, pumps, venodyne, etc. (as delineated for Equipment Control Coordinator).
  • Responsible for cleaning reusable items including surgical pieces and processing through steam sterilizers, gas sterilizers, washer sterilizers, and ultrasonic if necessary.
  • Responsible for waste disposal and decontamination of contaminated items. Inspects equipment and instruments through all procedural steps for condition and operation.
