"We really enjoy the apprenticeship program in the field of tool mechanics at Montblanc, as apprentices are highly valued in such a large company and are involved in production early on. There is also plenty of room for creative design and development."

First year

  • Learning manual skills (e.g. filing, bending, measuring)
  • Learning to operate manually guided drilling, turning, and milling machines

Second year

  • Deepening of basic knowledge by producing individual parts according to technical drawings, such as a cap holder for polishing
  • Rotation to other production departments (e.g. surface technology, spring production, and metal production)

Third year

  • Manufacturing of equipment for the production of individual parts for our high-quality writing instruments, such as pressing devices for caps
  • Operation of computer-controlled machine tools

Fourth year

  • Independent completion of work orders based on technical drawings (e.g. communication with different departments, preparing machines)
