Summary
The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for the performance and direct supervision of perioperative anesthetic care to patients, including preoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring, and post-anesthesia care in compliance with national accreditation standards.
Other responsibilities include the management staff CRNA's, management of problems in cardiac and respiratory function, and provision of airway management in emergency situations.
Duties

The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for the performance and direct supervision of perioperative anesthetic care to patients, including preoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring, and post-anesthesia care in compliance with national accreditation standards.
Other responsibilities include the management of problems in pain relief, management of problems in cardiac and respiratory function, and provision of airway management in emergency situations.
The Anesthesiologist is responsible for seeing patients in consultation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.Other duties include responding to patient telephone calls, informing patients of test/lab results, renewing medication prescriptions, and giving telephone or e-mail advice to other providers.
A full range of clinical Anesthesia capabilities is expected in addition to the following administrative responsibilities:participate in the development and implementation of program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to the delivery of quality Anesthetic care.
The incumbent must meet Anesthesia-related documentation requirements set forth by the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. The Anesthesiologist will have a major role as an anesthesia resource for the nurse anesthetists. The incumbent will participate in the medical education of medical students, surgical residents, and student nurse anesthetists. The Anesthesiologist will assist in orientation of new staff.This position is located in the Anesthesia Department which is aligned under the Surgery and Specialty Care ICC.

Work Schedule: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Approved
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
