- Tax review and preparation for all entities including trusts.
- Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
- Assumes full responsibility for larger tax returns and delegates to the various tax preparers as deemed necessary.
- Delegates and manages tax research projects to achieve an accurate and efficient product.
- Organize and update financial records as needed (digital and physical).
- Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
- Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins
- Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage client general ledgers
- Co-work with the accounting dept as needed for clients and staff accountants.
- Assist in accounting policies and procedures
- Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
- 6+ years of tax experience including
- Proven work experience as a Certified Public Accountant but will consider someone without an active CPA provided they have 2-4 recent years of working for in a CPA firm.
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance- Master's preferred
- Expert knowledge of S-Corp, C-Corp, and Individual taxes
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures and statements.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with international tax, 3520, 5471, or 5472 is a big plus
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Assist in the training and mentoring of other team members
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
- Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus

We are currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager for a thriving CPA firm based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL but this can be worked 100% from Eastern & Central time zones. This firm focuses on providing excellent tax/accounting services to clients. The firm's belief is if the client is set for success, then so will be the firm.
You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports and tax returns for clients. You will play a key role in client engagements, working directly with clients, peers, and partners. The role also requires you to be a positive mentor to those underneath you to help keep the firm successful.
