Labatory Assistant


Our Labatory Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting with the day-to-day laboratory production activities, which include but is not limited to distillation and post-processing tasks, infused concentrate formulation and dispensing, edible base formulation, and equipment cleaning at the direction of the Labatory Manager.

The Labatory Assistant will be responsible for maintaining adequate operational procedures and contributing to a support role to ensuring seamless lab operation and increased efficiency.


Your role in caring for our company:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Daily product preparation including preparing equipment and cannabis oil for further processing.
  • Consistently monitors active equipment, performs minor repairs, and reports equipment irregularities to Labatory Manager.
  • Operates machinery in accordance with all operational and safety guidelines.
  • Takes instruction and helps on all tasks assigned by Labatory Manager.
  • Assists with ethanol, butane and solventless postprocessing.
  • Assists with infused concentrate formulation and dispensing.
  • Assists with infused edible base formulation.
  • Accurately performs tasks related to weighing, liquid handling, and pipetting.
  • Cleans and maintains laboratory, glassware, and other equipment.
  • General manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
  • Assists in the disposal of waste according to established guidelines.
  • Work cohesively with various departments and provides operational support when deemed necessary and approved by management.
  • Complete duties on time and willingness to accept additional job duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain open communication with the management team and other coworkers about daily production output.
  • Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°85°.

All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
  • We ask that you have basic computer skills.
  • We ask that you have general lab experience, but it is not required.
  • Pipetting experience preferred, but not required.

Additional skills which will help you excel in your role:

  • Excellent observational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, our plants are very delicate throughout their lifecycle
  • Desire and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and nondisclosure.
  • Maintain open communication with the management team and other coworkers.
  • Strong work ethic; must be accountable and proactive.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a high production environment
  • We ask that you do not have allergies to plant materials or nitrile gloves; this position requires daily exposure to cannabis plants and nitrile gloves.

Work Schedule/Location:


  • Onsite 5 days a week.

  • This position requires an inordinate amount of sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, twisting, and reaching in full range of motion to complete physical tasks.
  • This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
  • This position requires the ability to work in a cannabis growing facility, there will be strong odors, bright lights, and various noises throughout the workday.
  • This position will require PPE to be worn throughout the workday to include scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets while working with the plants. DCM will provide scrubs, gloves, and hair nets to all employee
