Estimator

Position Summary

The Estimator role is critical for the success of a restoration company, as they are responsible for creating proposed estimate & line-item invoices in Xactimate or Symbility utilizing program guidelines and IICRC standards.

This role will also require effective coordination with technicians and field personnel to ensure the success of each project.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Creating & billing estimates for mitigation jobs in Xactimate or Symbility
Scoping work in collaboration with Production Manager / Production Supervisor / Crew Leader under the supervision of the Operations Manager.
Ensuring all required paperwork and project documentation is completed, and information is entered correctly in the system by field personnel (photos, notes and signed documents, measurements, etc.).
Keeping up with daily insurance company program stipulations and moisture documentation software.
Coordinate with technicians and field personnel to obtain data from site visits, job scopes and any other information needed to estimate mitigation services.
Building relationships with subcontractors and vendors to efficiently complete job assignments.
Following up with customers daily to answer any questions and walk them through the phase of the mitigation process.
Using carrier audit standards and managing estimates based on feedback from client and customer.
Carrying out the estimating process from beginning to end.

This includes but is not limited to:

Setting up initial estimates and obtaining approvals for scope of work
Determining labor and equipment costs and assessing project risk
Responding to revision requests and estimate exceptions in a timely manner.
Reviewing quotes and estimates with project team and uploading required documents.
Overseeing accounts receivable by following up on billing status and ensuring payment is received.
