- Lead a crucial aspect of a significant modernization initiative at Egen by transitioning older Control M (xml) jobs to run smoothly via Airflow DAGs.
- Architect and define the implementation of a new MWAA (Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow) environment on AWS.
- Take charge of guiding multiple product teams through the process of adopting the new Airflow platform.
- Create Platform Run books and user guides to facilitate seamless integration for product teams.
- Hands-on work involving customization of Airflow operators in AWS.
- Airflow expert with a track record of setting up and managing MWAA on AWS.
- Thorough understanding of orchestration principles, including DAG creation, task definition, operators, and workflow management best practices.
- Proficient in Python programming, specializing in Airflow DAGs and custom operators development.
- Solid grasp of Terraform, capable of crafting Terraform code for infrastructure as code (IaC) management.
- Familiarity with AWS services like S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, Fargate, VPC, security groups, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of AWS Postgres and hands-on experience with cloud-based databases.
- Basic proficiency in Unix shell scripting for rudimentary automation and upkeep tasks.
- Experience with Python/Golang and cloud SDKs such as AWS SDK, Kubernetes clients library, Helm.
- Proficiency in Mysql, PostgreSQL, Bitbucket, GitHub.
- Familiarity with service mesh frameworks like Istio, Linkerd, and Hashicorp Consul Connect.
- Understanding of IAM and JWT authorization, SSO/OAuth (Azure AD, Okta).
- Familiarity with the 12-factor app methodology and its practical application.
