Ecolab is providing an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Digital Solutions team as Software Engineer.This role will focus on digital technologies & platforms to enable & support our Industrial Sales & Service organization globally.
The Software Engineer will be a key member of the technical team, with a focus on extending of platforms to meet business requirements & collaborating with internal & external developer partners to ensure for optimal solution development.
This position is based out of our Naperville, IL or St. Paul, MN offices with a hybrid work scheduleWhat You Will Do:
Development of applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, and the Microsoft suite of technologies including but not limited to MS PowerApps, MS Power Automate, MS Dynamics 365.Recognize synergies & functionality across multiple technologies, and leverage them as appropriateReview and analyze business requirements and provide technical feasibility and estimatesCreate technical documents for software products using Visio, PowerPoint, MS Word and other MS Office applications.
Sprint Planning, Estimating sessions, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Demos and Sprint retrospectives.
Translating technical requirements into application code and modulesUnit testing and working closely with the QA/Testing team.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion, communicating updates as determined until issue is resolvedWork closely with team to help identify root cause and implement solutions to reduce recurring defects and issuesWork with developers to maintain a standard release plan, including code check in processes & solution managementMinimal Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related area2 years experience in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, .
Strong knowledge of a variety of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and an understanding as to when each of these approaches is most suitableStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience of working in a methodical and structured mannerExcellent communication skills: presentation, written, and oralStrong interpersonal skills to successfully team with software vendors, outsourcing partners and internal business and IT associatesMust be able to perform as an effective member in a team-oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude, and achieve desired results while working with minimal supervisionEnthusiasm for learning new skills and technologies, and passion for conveying knowledgeExcellent organization skills
