    Description

    Diagnostic X-Ray Department Support Position

    This role will assist the Diagnostic X-Ray department. The individual may conduct imaging procedures at a technical level while being supervised by a registered technologist. This involves incorporating education and learning while carrying out tasks to aid the technologist in their duties.

    Responsibilities:

    • Utilize complex imaging equipment depending on modality for acquiring, analyzing, reconstructing, and documenting image data under the supervision of a Radiologist or Technologist.
    • Perform daily equipment inspections, warm-up procedures, and adhere to the Quality Control Program under supervision.
    • Support Radiologist and Technologist in setting up contrast, excluding loading or priming the injector.
    • Obtain quality images following radiation safety standards and protocols.
    • Assist with positioning and conducting exams, avoiding holding the detector or patients for Radiation procedures.
    • Register patients, track exams, scan scripts, and schedule exams using Radiology Information Systems.
    • Aid Radiologist and Technologist in conducting modality-specific exams.
    • Maintain clinical proficiency for all completed competencies and equipment skills.

    Applicants must be an active 2nd-year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school.

    Licenses, Certifications, and Clearances:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
    • Act 33 with renewal
    • Act 34 with renewal
    • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
