- Perform service and repair on various types of rotating equipment, including but not limited to centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, vertical turbines, gearboxes, and submersible pumps, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues within pump systems using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty pump components such as seals, packing, bearings, and impellers to prevent leaks and ensure proper alignment and optimal performance/functionality.
- Fabricate and modify parts as needed using welding and machining tools to ensure a perfect fit and function within the pump system.
- Establish a work schedule in coordination with the Service Manager.
- Assist with repairs at customers' sites; adhere to customer safety rules and policies.
- Install new pump systems according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Drive and safely operate company-owned vehicle/service truck.
- Keep work area safe and clean; adhere to safety rules and policies. Safety equipment is to be used per the company safety manual.
- Travel for training or customer assistance as necessary.
- Must be able to travel overnight, if required, and be prepared to take responsibility for handling approved personal travel expenses. (The company will reimburse approved travel expenses.)
