    Director, Employee Relations and Compliance


    Position Overview:


    The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of employee relations, ensuring CJ Logistics America's compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, extensive knowledge of employment law and regulations, and proven leadership and communication skills.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities



    Develop and implement employee relations strategies, policies, and procedures to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.



    Provide expert guidance and support to HR business partners, managers, and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.



    Investigate and respond to employee complaints, concerns, and allegations of misconduct or policy violations, ensuring thorough and impartial investigations and appropriate resolution and follow-up.



    Develop and deliver learning programs and resources to educate managers and employees on relevant employment laws, company policies, and best practices for maintaining a respectful and compliant workplace.



    Partner with legal counsel to interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to employment practices, including but not limited to EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and Title VII.


    Oversee the administration of employee relations programs/initiatives, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and evaluate their effectiveness and impact.



    Monitor trends and developments in employment law and regulatory requirements, and recommend updates and revisions to policies, procedures, and practices to ensure alignment with current best practices and legal standards.



    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, legal, and business leaders, to develop and implement initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and support the company's overall goals and objectives.



    Prepare regular reports and updates for senior leadership on employee relations activities, trends, and metrics, and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to HR programs and practices.


    Active and participatory member of the Human Resources Leadership Team.


    Other business-related projects as assigned.

    Requirements and Qualifications


    Four-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;.


    At least 10 years of progressive experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and employment law.



    Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, with demonstrated experience interpreting and applying legal requirements in a corporate setting.



    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.



    Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of HR professionals and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


    Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.



    High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all employee relations and compliance matters.


    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/ERP systems.
