General Position Summary

The Inventory Control is responsible for assisting warehouse management with the overall inventory of the warehouse. Monitor inventory levels of all materials. Maintain warehouse efficiency goals, quality standards, sanitation standards, and safety requirements

Essential Functions


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Counts Raw Materials/Finished Goods/Packaging Materials for the Warehouse
  • Assist with training Material Handlers and Picker/Stackers on BC and WMS systems and procedures.
  • Knows and understands WMS.
  • Performs cycle counts on inventory in warehouses daily.
  • Inspects for damage and notifies management.
  • Able to fill pick lists with forklift.
  • Assists with building of shipper and shoppable pallets.
  • Coordinates with production to ensure inventory records are accurate and maintained at levels within management goals.
  • Coordinates with Warehouse Manager to ensure staffing level is maintained at approved level(s).
  • Participates in the performance of periodic and annual physical inventories: conduct physical inventories.
  • Assists with maintaining and updating of all related record to inventories, and shipping records.
  • Maintains metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service and other relevant documentation.
  • Inspects for damage and reports claims to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Drives forklift to fill pick lists.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:


  • Complies with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Understands applicable SQF requirements.

Other & Miscellaneous:


  • Ability to work as part of a team; capable of learning multiple jobs and maintain a high quality of work.
  • Ability to identify and analyze issues
  • Desire to be a handson, onthefloor oriented manufacturing team member.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Computer skills: Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook

Qualifications:


Education & Work Experience:


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Qualified/Prequalified Warehouse Material Handler by the company qualification process.
  • Minimum 3 years warehouse experience.

Certificates/Licenses:


  • Forklift License
