    Business Partner, Human Resources - Milwaukee, United States - Lesaffre Group

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


    • Conducts regular meetings with respective managers within each functional team where support is required.
    • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the VP, Human Resources to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
    • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal resources as needed/required.
    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
    • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
    • Provides guidance and input on team restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies training needs for teams and individual coaching needs.
    • Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans
    • Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters providing HR guidance when appropriate.
    • Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
    • Implements Talent Management process including talent assessment and succession planning.

    Education and/or Experience


    • Bachelor's Degree
    • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
    • Must be comfortable working in ambiguous and/or stressful situations.
    • Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance; detail-orientation is a must.
    • Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks.
    • Effective collaborator with proven process improvement skills.
    • Exceptional organization and time management skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team and independently.
    • Keep up to date on technology trends, developments & best practices.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical & non-technical audiences.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills are a must for this position
    • Detail oriented with an emphasis placed on accuracy
    • Ability to adapt to change, develop and train and/or learn new processes
    • Well-organized; able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment.
    Language Skills

    Proficiency in a second language preferred but not required - Spanish or French.
