- Research experience in at least one of the following areas: resting or task-based functional MRI, multivariate pattern analysis, or computational modeling.
- Command of programming tools such as Matlab, R, Linux, Python, and scripting abilities, Jupyter notebooks, Google Colab.
- Experience with image analysis, modeling, or data mining tools (i.e. AFNI, FSL, FreeSurfer, SPM, DTI studio, Conn, LEAD-DBS, fMRIPrep, etc.)
- Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Overall Description of Responsibility or Nature of Work:
This position reports directly to Dr. Jody Tanabe, MD, Professor in the Department of Radiology. The goal of our research group is to treat and improve the understanding of mechanisms underlying substance use disorders. We use task-based and resting state functional MRI and electrophysiological methods to study brain addiction circuits.
The successful candidate will be part of a diverse group of clinicians and scientists including radiologists, psychiatrists, neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, and will build upon the group's previous work using functional imaging and local field potentials.
