IBM Application Architect Role

As an IBM Application Architect, your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in transforming their businesses and resolving complex challenges. You will play a vital role in shaping project scopes and visions to deliver tailored solutions leveraging IBM's technologies. Serving as a technical leader, you will bridge the gap between business requirements, technical teams, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Work closely with leadership to outline the build automation strategy.
Enhance and streamline the CI/CD pipeline.
Implement updates for various services.
Troubleshoot build process issues.
Document all processes thoroughly.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders for baseline modifications.
Establish Configuration Management Processes and Plans as necessary.
Lead Configuration Control Board meetings and prepare associated materials.
Oversee the release of baseline Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCI).
Manage software documentation configuration, including regulatory documents and maintenance procedures.
Develop software configuration processes for releases and patches.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

Proficiency in configuring build automation tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, CircleCI, etc.
Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, NPM, or similar technologies.
Demonstrated track record of working with software development teams using configuration management.
Ability to handle configurations of various types of software and manage licenses.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+) or the capability to obtain it within 90 days.
Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for CI Poly.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

Experience incorporating container images in build pipelines.
Maintenance of build images.
Execution of multi-staged pipelines.
Proficiency with additional tools like Nexus, SonarQube, Fortify, etc.
Desired ITIL certification.
