Ever Well Health is searching for a caring and compassionate Therapeutic Program Advisor to join our growing team.

SCHEDULE:


  • Sunday
  • Thursday
  • Tuesday-Saturday
  • 9:00AM6:00PM

SALARY:
$19.00-$21.00


JOB SUMMARY


Under general direction, assist individuals to maximize the independence and employability of persons coping with personal, social, and vocational difficulties, or the stress of daily life.

Deliver activities for residents, assess resident needs and implement rehabilitation programs that may include therapeutic programing, direct skills training, and support services.

In some instances, may provide direction to DCS as a lead staff member. Completes required documentation in a proficient and timely manner.


What this role is not:
An Administrative role.


SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

"What You Will Do"

Conduct planned activities. Will be given assistance as necessary in order to ensure that all residents participate in accordance with their interests and abilities.

Assists in Caring for others. Providing personal assistance, emotional support, or other personal care to residents.
-
Identifying and reporting objects, actions, and events by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
-
Implements standards of care and assists staff to work effectively and efficiently with residents.
-
Participate in program development and organizational planning to ensure responsive care consistent with emerging resident needs.


Requirements:


REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Formal education in recreation and activity planning is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in providing planned group activates.
  • A minimum of three years, fulltime, directcare experience with individuals with mental illness.
  • Demonstrated previous work experience at a facility licensed by the Department of Social Services California Community Care Licensing Program (CCL).
  • Proof of, valid California driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a good driving record.
  • Has experience with exercising good judgment and acts calmly in emergency situations

REQUIRED - ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES

  • Excellent team player and communicator, with all levels of staff.
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
  • Ability to read and understand documents, write simple memos, reports and letters, speak effectively with residents, customers or other employees.
  • Ability to engage and communicate with residents in an empathetic manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities, and disabilities.
  • Ability to follow directions and work within a program, and systems structure.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized, and emergency situations.
  • Exercises good judgment and acts calmly in emergency situations.
  • High emotional and collective awareness.
  • Great sense of humor, and values humility.

REQUIRED*:


  • CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES*
  • Valid California driver's license, DMV pull program current automobile insurance, and a good driving record.

REQUIREMENTS - PHYSICAL

  • Walking, Sitting, Pinching and Finger Flexion, and Visual/Auditory Acuity are required constantly (over 2/3 of the workday);
  • Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling, Bending, Stooping, Crouching, Kneeling and Twisting are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday).
  • Balancing, Climbing and Crawling are generally not required.
  • Ability to Pass an Employment Physical.
  • Current TB Test (No negative results within the last 12 months).

Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour
