    Description
    Environmental Compliance Manager

    for a busy specialty Chemical Manufacturing plant located in Los Angeles. AMVAC is a diversified specialty and agricultural product company that manufactures solutions for crop protection and nutrition.

    As the Environmental Compliance Manager, you will:
    Lead compliance efforts for all local, state, regional and federal regulatory environmental requirements including RCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, TSDR, TSCA, and more
    Prepare and submit environmental permit applications; maintain modifications and renewals
    Manage all documentation including manuals and reports
    Develop and implement Environmental training programs
    Collaborate on environmental, sustainability, source reduction, waste minimization, cost reduction, industrial hygiene, and safety goals
    Communicate with outside agencies and auditors and relay information to plant managers
    Support offsite facilities, customers, and business partners to insure the proper management and disposal of hazardous wastes related to AMVAC products


    Requirements:
    5+ years' experience as an Environmental Compliance Manager in Southern California - Los Angeles County preferred
    Specialty chemical manufacturing or similar industrial experience
    Knowledgeable of regulations pertaining to air; water; storm water; wastewater; solid, universal, and hazardous wastes; pesticides; transportation; and safety
    Experience auditing and implementing RCRA, PBR, SPCC, SWPPP, P2, AER, SMR, PPE, TRI SARA III, 1173, CWC, SB14, TSCA, AB2588, AB617, TSDFs
    Experience auditing, implementing and communicating and similar requirements
    Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
    Successful history of communicating with representatives of governmental agencies
    Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and physical

    Bachelor's Degree Required:
    Environmental or similar area of study
    Graduate degree in a

    science area preferably environmental compliance and/or chemical orientation a plus
    Ability to past post-offer physical and background check
