As a Barclays Event Assistant, you will have an exciting chance to be in charge of managing, developing, and executing a diverse range of events to the highest standard through excellent organizational skills, innovation, and creativity.
You will be accountable for all aspects of event management on a varying scale of events, often leading a project team comprising other colleagues.
Salary/ Rate Minimum:
$76,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum:
$97,500

- Providing project support to the team by demonstrating excellent organizational skills, clear communication, and ability to trouble shoot and find solutions as required
- Understanding and learning departmental processes and follow these across all activities and consistent data accuracy and attention to detail
- Helping colleagues with event planning and onsite event assistance including: invitation creation and development and taking on roles within a team
- Assisting with new vendor setup and payments, assisting with speaker review and vetting, site searches, and supply management
- Assisting and supporting with small scale events with oversight from manager or senior colleagues within the team
- Helping the team team building and morale events for the team and basic knowledge of event planning functions
- Leading adhoc projects on behalf of the team (Workstream areas for function) and building and maintaining effective relationships with preferred suppliers
- Exhibiting the ability to adhere to policies and ability to take ownership, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficient in Microsoft skills (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Industry knowledge and prior experience is an advantage

- Aptitude and ability to navigate different technology systems
- Team player with the ability to work within a team and effective time management, being able to manage your own time and work volumes
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to guide others
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue.
This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
