    **Job Summary**

    Develops marketsand sellsproducts manufactured and represented by Reimers Kaufman Concrete Products Co., Inc. according to profit standards. The Sales Manager must support internal and external Sales Reps in the prospect, contact and influence of new accounts, in addition to supporting and growing established accounts. There will be Saturday hours.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

    Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.

    Develop sales goal for growing revenue and improving profit margins. Create and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.

    Develop a strong working knowledge of products manufactured and represented by Reimers as well as an understanding of competitor products to meet the needs and demands of customers.

    Recruit and hire sales staff. Train and support staff to have a comprehensive understanding of product knowledge, product troubleshooting response, sales goals, customer service, internal company policies and processes.

    Provide leadership for the day-to-day activities of the sales staff. Develop, coach, and empower sales staff to achieve specific sales goals with a team approach.

    Provide consistent and timely performance evaluations of direct reports. Provide effective feedback and instruction to achieve performance goals.

    Coordinate the management of customer accounts with the appropriate sales rep. Assure new and existing accounts are qualified, solicited and maintained through personal visits, phone calls, written and electronic correspondence. Assure timely response and follow-through.

    Directly manage, develop, and grow relationships with major or critical customer accounts.

    Participate in promotional events, community events, industry events and trade shows. Represent the companys membership in various industry associations. Occasional overnight travel will be required.

    Develop, monitor, maintain and manage customer price lists, price books and special terms for customers.

    Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to facilitate the efficiency of the sales operation and meet the needs of the customer.

    Review and analyze sales and operational reports to monitor achievement of sales goals and strategies. Adjust plans as needed.

    Coordinates sales operations with all other departments/divisions within the Company to maximize accurate and effective communication and to minimize and resolve significant issues.

    Foster and advance positive professional relationships with coworkers, customers, vendors and NEBCO companies.

    Prepare accurate and timely sales reports for the General Manager. As needed, present to NEBCO ownership and Executive Team at NEBCO Sales meetings.

    Guide and support the NEBCO Marketing Manager in developing and planning a marketing strategy, marketing collateral, advertising campaigns and public relations efforts that support and advance sales goals.

    Provide technical and sales support to Architectural Rep in efforts to promote all products to specifier clients.

    Support the NEBCO Credit Manager with accounts receivable. Other duties may be assigned**.**

    **Supervisory Responsibilities**

    The position supervises three (3) people total. The position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    **Education and/or Experience**

    A Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field is preferred.

    Three to five years related sales experience, in construction and design consulting sales skills and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Specific experience creating strategic solutions with product and Marketing is necessary.

    Management experience required with emphasis in managing a sales department, scheduling, maintaining and evaluating personnel. Strong leadership and influential skills in a team environment is a must.

    Must have an ability to develop strong customer relationships.

    Proven abilities to build and maintain business relationships and apply negotiation skills.
