Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assessing and triaging patients upon arrival in the Emergency Department
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitoring patients' vital signs and providing necessary interventions
Facilitating communication between patients and their families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educating patients on their conditions and treatment plans
Ensuring patient safety and advocating for their needs
Documenting patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education

Qualifications and Skills:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
BLS and ACLS certification
Prior experience in an Emergency Department or critical care setting preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed
