Job Description:

AECOM is seeking a talented Operations Manager for immediate employment in our Los Angeles, CA office.

This internal leadership role will support a team of architects and designers to deliver interdisciplinary world-class projects for our clients in the sports and entertainment market.

The leader will actively drive projects toward successful outcomes, maintain and evolve business performance of the team and practice, while supporting and fostering a design-focused culture of self-supporting creative teams.

AECOM's Americas Sports Practice is an established leader in the market continuing to provide world-class projects for decades.

This showcase practice focuses its work across a range of facilities, from performance and development facilities to primary competition venues, ranging anywhere from small collegiate clients to the largest professional leagues and franchises.

Responsibilities:


  • Under limited direction, and in partnership with the managing principal, is responsible for the overall business performance and growth of their department.
  • Develops and maintains the setup and execution of client contracts. Is involved in planning, developing and coordinating project related activities.
  • Provides project management and operational direction to key project personnel.
  • Meets or exceeds the annual NSR, EBITA, and Utilization goals of the department.
  • Evaluates and develops contractual factors (pricing, scope, and terms/conditions) for new and existing contracted projects.
  • Responsible for identification and mitigation of project risk across the portfolio of the department.
  • Upholds project teams to high quality delivery standards and proactively manages teams to supplement staffing or provide quality review oversight for our technical team delivery.
  • In partnership with the Managing Principal, contributes to elevating department and architectural practice culture, including recruiting/hiring strategies and office-level leadership for department team members.
  • Upholds ethics, compliance, diversity, and safety priorities in everything they do, and advocates to support this continued culture through the team.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • BA/BS 8 years of relevant expereince or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Masters in Business Administration
  • Professionally licensed in architecture or engineering
  • 5 years in an operationally-focused role.
  • 5 years of direct project experience including scope-writing, pricing development, and contract negotiation.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $135, $150,000.00.
