Do what you love in our operations team in Midfield, AL As a balance accountant (all genders), you have the opportunity to build and contribute your expertise to our finance team. We are looking for applicants with a strong drive for shaping and improving processes.

Organize financial and accounting processes
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB
Invoice customers and allocate incoming invoices
Monitor incoming and outgoing payments and handle payment transactions
Process travel expenses and manage payroll
Access funding from a federal government research program for IT security
Prepare VAT returns
Develop profitability and liquidity plans
Serve as the main contact for financial authorities, auditors, tax advisors, and banks

Why you are a perfect fit - Must Haves:

Completed commercial training, e.g. as a tax clerk (all genders), or alternatively a successfully completed business administration degree with a focus on accounting and taxes
Additional qualification as a certified balance accountant (IHK)
Several years of professional experience, ideally in a startup or IT environment, with excellent knowledge of HGB accounting
Proficient in relevant accounting and ERP systems, such as Datev or sevDesk
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
