    Operations Technician tasked to support Supervisors and Work Force for the C-130J Mid/Mate Area with a prime emphasis on electrical installations as well as structural installations.

    What You Will Be Doing


    • Supports development of crew plans to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
    • Utilizes Earned Value Management tools will identify, drive, and support implementation of improvements for work sequence, engineering, planning, tooling, and waste reduction.
    • Supports Work Force proficiency, provides on the job training and develops return to green plans to ensure continuity of build.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Aircraft production/manufacturing and/or live aircraft maintenance experience - with heavy focus on electrical and structural installations
    • Experience routing and installing Wire Harness Assemblies, installing, testing and troubleshooting electrical components, wire splicing, surface preparation, interpreting Wire Routing Diagrams, experience interpreting technical specifications and schematics, hole locating and drilling, &/or as well as other structural lay-out and installs
    • Knowledge in Shop Floor Manager (SFM) or similar real-time manufacturing execution system
    • Knowledge in Quality Assurance Document System (QADS) or similar non-conformance management system
    • Knowledge of Manufacturing Process Standards (MPS) or similar process standardization documents and tools
    • Must have experience using tools and machines typically used in a production/manufacturing environment
    • Experience in training others in production/manufacturing processes and techniques (or other related training experience)

    Desired Skills:

    • Knowledge of C-130 assembly
    • Aircraft support experience
    • Multi-faceted manufacturing experience (various skills/departments/processes)
    • Troubleshooting/root cause/corrective action
    • Working knowledge of Full Spectrum Leadership tenets
    • Excellent interpersonal communications skills - able to communicate with high quality, composition and grammar
    • Familiarity with C-130 Plumbing benchwork, assembly and installation
    • Familiarity with C-130 Wire Trace system usage
    • Proficiency with MS Office

    Onsite Full-time:
    The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


    Schedule for this Position:
    4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
