Position Summary:

Core Responsibilities:


  • Continuously monitors GLIDE's campus for internal and external security threats and risks; Will develop and implement security policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
  • Prepares reports and conducts preliminary investigations for all securityrelated incidents; works with local law enforcement officials and neighborhood liaisons as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with security and safety policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinates with other staff, neighbors, and city officials regarding security improvements.
  • Develops and delivers OSHA compliance, security infrastructure, and safety training for staff; ensures documentation, and training.
  • Manages, inspects, and repairs security systems to support daily business operations, approved special events, and Sunday celebrations.
  • Serves on the Safety Monitor team during Sunday celebrations (and other shifts as needed).
  • Investigates, resolves, and reports on security system assessment and incidents; works directly with vendors to ensure prompt, costeffective service delivery.
  • Stays abreast of emerging trends and proven best practices regarding security systems, policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain inventories of security equipment, such as radios, cameras, and other systems.
  • Processes invoices; oversees security contracts, vendors, and budget management.
  • Will perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:


  • Must be willing and able to work nontraditional hours (such as evenings and holidays) as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
  • This position requires the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion. 5+ years of security experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Some facilities and/or property management experience are a plus.
  • Ability to deescalate sensitive security issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience using, leading, and administering security systems.
  • Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong project/time management skills with excellent administrative, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding and fastpaced environment.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to learning, communicating, and working respectfully with people different from themselves.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and can become OSHA certified (within the first 90 days of employment).
  • Strong written communication skills required. Proficiency in grammar and spelling is required.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations with speed and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Advanced skills using and administering security cameras, camera software, radios, public address systems, and other computerized security systems.
  • Proficiency using the following systems: MS Office (especially Excel), Zendesk, Asana or Intaact.
