- Responsible for the development, organization, direction and coordination of finance.
- Responsible for processing all agency bills, payroll transactions and all federal, state, and local financial reports, taxes and audits in accordance with fiscal policies and GAAP - generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepares all financial data and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using agreed-upon format.
- Serves as a member of the executive leadership team, advising on organizational, programmatic, planning, budgeting and other matters related to finance.
- Formulates business strategies and resolve any problems related to finances and administrative processes that arise within the Organization.
- Ensures sufficient data and reports are available to the Executive Director and/or the leadership team to easily facilitate decision-making.
- Collaborate with Board Treasurer. Attend regular Board meetings and provide financial reports. Coordinate Audit committee activities. Schedule and coordinate quarterly Finance Committee meetings on a schedule.
- Liaison with outside accounting firm in preparation for and assistance with annual financial audit and any special audits.
- Oversee management of grant funding expenditures, budgets, and submit timely grant reports.
- Oversee risk management plan, to include the management of relationships with insurance brokers, agents and carriers.
- Manage investments and maintain appropriate records to manage all other assets.
- Works with Executive Director and Finance Committee to create the annual budget.
- Responsible for maintaining a pleasant and productive workplace and foster communication and cooperation among all departments of the Organization.

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Five years of supervisory experience
- Five years of senior-level accounting experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of nonprofit accounting and GAAP
- Compassionate and open-minded
- Commitment to practicing the values of dignity and respect with clients, coworkers, and community partners
- Ability to remain focused and calm in dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Cooperative and flexible with people and systems
