    Position Overview

    The IT Field Support Technician I plays a crucial role in addressing onsite tickets as assigned by the Dispatcher. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, coordinating with customers, and working on tickets remotely when needed. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and excels in communication and problem-solving. This role focuses on servicing clients in and around Tewksbury, MA.


    Primary Responsibilities
    • Works on tickets in the order established by the Dispatcher.
    • Prepares hardware according to TechMD standards to minimize customer downtime.
    • Efficiently resolves Tier 1 issues onsite.
    • Communicates effectively with team members to ensure timely issue resolution.
    • Collaborates with teammates and clients to convey essential information.
    • Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures set by TechMD.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Technical Team Lead.
    • Follows the development plan provided by leadership.
    • Documents and updates infrastructure changes appropriately.
    • Participates in on-call rotation as required.

    Requirements

    • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Entry-level understanding of business systems and networking.
    • Recommended Entry-level certification (e.g., A+, Net+, CCENT).
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Strong verbal and telephone communication abilities.
    • Team player with effective collaboration skills.
    • Capable of working independently.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Valid driver's license and insurability as per TechMD's policy.
