    Q Center is currently seeking a dedicated Full-time Assistant Director of Finance to join our dynamic team.

    Join Q Center, the leading full-service conference venue in the Midwest, offering over 150,000 square-feet of versatile meeting space, 1,000 luxurious guest rooms, and sprawling across 95 acres, making it a top choice for meetings, training sessions, and special events. As the Assistant Director of Finance, you will oversee the daily operations of the Accounting department, ensuring a proficient and well-trained team. Your role involves maintaining financial accuracy, consistency, and timeliness, while collaborating with the Director of Finance to drive business profitability, uphold financial reporting standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect assets.

    This position follows a Monday-Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm.

    The initial compensation for this role is set at $70,000 per year.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in hospitality Accounting or a related field; or a 4-year college degree with a focus on Accounting/Finance and at least 2 years of progressive experience; or a 2-year college degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
    • Proficiency in company-approved software, including spreadsheets and word processing; familiarity with Accounting and Purchasing systems like Birchstreet, Sage Intacct, Concur, and Opera is advantageous.

    Physical Demands:

    • Flexibility for extended hours when necessary
    • Primarily sedentary work

    • Collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational goals
    • Analyze and enhance business processes
    • Ensure compliance with all regulations
    • Manage vendor relationships and contracts
    • Oversee financial reporting and budget management
    • Supervise departmental staff and conduct performance reviews
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making
    • Monitor financial controls and compliance
    • Assist with various Accounting tasks and reporting
