Creates mechanical, structural, and piping conceptual designs for gas and liquid stations and miscellaneous oil and gas infrastructure using 2-D and 3-D CAD Systems.

• Models, details, documents, and verifies mechanical, structural, piping, and systems
• Creates 3D models, depicts relationship of component and parts; identifies dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials
• Ensures quality of drawings according to department and company standards
• Analyzing the effect of proposed changes for proper fit and/or interference problems; recommending possible solutions or alternate construction; modifying drawings as required; may confer with engineers to resolve issues
• Prepares Bills of Material relative to design documentation
• Meets any and all deadlines as required by the project schedule

• Associates Degree or Technical School Training in ME, Computer-Aided Design Technology or related field
• 5+ years designing and documenting mechanical, structural, piping, equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong creative ability to design and develop mechanical, structural, and piping systems
• Good organizational and planning skills
• Experience in related industry
• Working knowledge inplant piping, pipeline, or onshore oil and gas
• Familiarity with any of the following tools: AutoCAD, Plant Space Design, ISOGEN, CADWorx
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of importing survey data and reading file notes
• Knowledge of reading pipeline/utility alignment sheets
• Experience in creating pipeline plans and profile drawings
• Experience in using AutoCAD Civil 3D
