    The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University is seeking applications for a Service Instructor or Service Assistant Professor of Social Work starting July 1, 2024. The selected candidate will also be the inaugural BSW Online Coordinator. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track position with full benefits, allowing for renewable terms of up to three years. There is no limit on the number of terms, and there are opportunities for promotion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and developing a new Bachelor of Social Work online program, working alongside a dedicated BSW faculty team. The position involves online course development, teaching, advising, student success activities, and more. The School of Social Work at WVU is accredited and offers programs at the BSW, MSW, and PhD levels. The School is committed to impactful research, teaching, and service.

    WVU, a R1 research land grant university, is located near Pittsburgh and the Washington/Baltimore area.     Qualifications

    The ideal candidate should have a master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited institution, with a minimum of two years of post-MSW professional social work practice. They should also possess the ability to develop online education using technology platforms, demonstrate potential for innovative recruitment strategies, and have strong communication skills.
