Job Overview:

The Patient Care Assistant provides supportive services to the patients and units as directed by the nursing staff and health unit coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Transports patients to affiliateMass. General (direct connecting tunnel access)
Taking patient's vital signs; assist patient with dressing/undressing; also responsible for grooming, bathing and cream/scar massage as appropriate to the patient
Assist nursing staff with patient feedings
Ensuring each unit is well stocked with the needed supplies daily
Cleans and prepares reusable patient items and equipment
Transports specimens to hospital laboratories
Transports patients to affiliateMGH (direct connecting tunnel access)
Back up to the Health Unit Coordinator; assisting with telephone coverage as needed

Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Certified Nursing Certification is required.**Previous pediatric experience in a hospital or medical setting required.
